Addict to Athlete has changed my life. The team and specifically Coach Blu have allowed me to......just be me! It is my experience that other places treating substance abuse and mental health issues tried to fit me into a "one size fits all" model. Addict to Athlete adapted and listened and changed to help me realize and confront my past issues. I would recommend this team and scream as loud as I can "I AM A CHAMPION"

Addict II Athlete is a great organization! It has been able to help so many people in recovery because it focuses on replacing activities that were a part of a lifestyle of addiction with activities that promote positive things like family, fitness, connection, and service. - Donor
Addict II Athlete is an amazing program that both saved and changed my life. The team helped put me on a path to heal deep rooted childhood trauma that I had been burying with different addictions. They are very inclusive and non-judgmental. I’ve met absolutely incredible people through AIIA and built friendships to last a lifetime. I love the groups philosophy of identifying as more than an addict. I appreciate that it is a family friendly program that focuses on moving forward and healing. They have many different resources whether you are the one looking to heal from addiction or a family member. The team participates in running, different sports, and does lots of volunteering! I highly recommend this group to anyone who is looking to change their life and/or be inspired- regardless of your relationship with addiction. -Michelle
“As a muggle (AIIA’s term for a person that hasn’t had drug or alcohol problems) on team Addict II Athlete, I have learned skills that have helped me with my depression, my anxiety, and my overall mental health struggles. Listening to podcasts, attending the weekly meetings, and monthly activities, continues to provide me with a way to learn and then practice what I’m learning. AIIA helps me embrace a growth mindset, and then fosters a safe space for me to build connections with others as well as myself. AIIA is more than an athletic program; along with the education and athletics, AIIA is about service and creativity. All aspects of AIIA have been vital to my personal journey of healing.” -Lizz
